期刊简介: | The University of St. Thomas Journal of Law & Public Policy is one of the St. Thomas School of Law’s two scholarly law journals. The mission of the Journal of Law & Public Policy is to advance the ideals embodied in the school’s mission through the exploration of conservative legal thought, public policy, and social justice. The Journal’s Latin subtitle, Non in Legendo Sed in Intelligendo Leges Consistent, which translates into “the laws depend not on being read, but on being understood” is the guiding principle that informs the types of articles we publish and the sort of events we host.
The Journal of Law & Public Policy is a symposium-based journal that hosts two symposia per year. The Journal primarily publishes works presented by speakers at these symposia and selected student authored notes and comments each year. The symposium events are designed to promote student, faculty, and community engagement in a meaningful discussion about a current legal issue. Our symposia give members of the St. Thomas community a chance to examine policy issues closely connected with the mission and vision of the University of St. Thomas School of Law. |
