摘要：O objectivo do artigo consiste em descrever e percorrer alguns dos problemas prévios à fundação, pelo Marquês de Pombal, em 1759, da primitiva Aula de Comércio de Lisboa, primeira instituição de ensino em Portugal a ministrar instrução contabilística e comercial de forma oficial, pública e gratuita. Adicionalmente, o estudo pretende enquadrar histórica, política e socialmente a origem do ensino comercial em Portugal, empreendendo-se para o efeito um périplo pelo Portugal de Setecentos. Com o propósito de possibilitar um célere enquadramento das origens do ensino (público) da Contabilidade em Portugal, nomeadamente visando dar conta da inexistência, antes de 1759, de condições que pudessem aproveitar ao desenvolvimento da Contabilidade nacional, a investigação visa também contribuir para melhorar a compreensão da envolvente contabilística adjacente à pré-história do primeiro instituto difusor do ensino da nossa especialidade, a Aula do Comércio.
其他摘要：The purpose of this article is to describe and go through some of the problems prior to the foundation, by the Marquis of Pombal, of the School of Commerce (1759), in Lisbon, the first institution in Portugal to instruct accounting education in an official, public and free way. Additionally, the study seeks to cover the historical, political and social origin of accounting and commercial education in Portugal, by going on a tour in the Portuguese eighteenth century. With the purpose to enable a framework of the origins of public accounting education in Portugal, with the intention to show the absence of conditions, before 1759, that could lead to the development of the national accounting, the research also aims to improve the understanding of the accounting environment adjacent to the prehistory of the first institute of accounting education in Portugal, the School of Commerce.
