其他摘要:The novelette Reconciliation is very important in Modern History of Japanese Literature. On the one hand, it carries on the characteristics of the “Family Novel” of Meiji period, which depicts family relationships; on the other hand, it has played a normative role in the post-war “Family Novel”, which emerged in 1950s. According to this paper, however, the novelette also reflects Shiga Naoya’s flaunting of patriarchy and discrimination against women. Based on the interpretation of gender images, the author seeks to analyze that the work has the characteristics of male power center consciousness, which is another characteristic of the whole body of Shiga Naoya’s works.
