摘要:This special issue, appearing at the very end of the first decade of the 21st century, considers the trends that have emerged in American literary production by thematically focusing on the exploration of the printed and digital intersection. While the essays contained herein examine varying works and develop distinct perspectives, each aims to evaluate what comes next for American writing: what new beginnings— if any—or new trends are emerging from the intertwining of the current global, cultural, economic, and political scene with writing technologies, and how are print and digital media being variously reconfigured?
