摘要：The .Julius. is an amateur film competition whose originality lies in the fact that the works are based on a set literary text for which participants are to make an audiovisual adaptation. In this article the early history of the competition is studied: its origin, the various years it was held, the impact it had¡ and the social and cultural context that has contributed to making it a competition with the unique characteristics that make up what is called the .Julius spirit ., ironical, anarchic and surrealist.
