Ferry Prince
Kim FranklinHas Cruise Travel ever done a story about the ferry/cruise-ship Scotia Prince? She sails each day (six months a year) from Portland, Maine, to Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. We took a pre-wedding "honeymoon" on the ship expecting just a ferry, but found her to be much more than that.
The cabins were small but clean, and the buffet a bit pricey but delicious. They had a nice-size casino (we won!) and afternoon participation events just like the bigger ships. The cruise director, Dan, seemed to run the ship since we saw him everywhere we went. What really surprised us were the shows. Full revues like on regular cruise ships, and the Ray Kenny singers were wonderful. My husband especially liked the magician. The whole trip took 10 hours to get to Nova Scotia, and although it was cold there, we didn't--mind after all we were on a trip to begin our new lives together.
Anyway, I think more people ought to know about this ship, as I have not heard much about her.
