Joe's two cents - The Fans Speak Out
Joe KellyOften I hear people saying wrestling is "stupid" and "fake." Pretty much every one of these people has never actually watched WWE on TV. I think that before judging wrestling, they should watch it. If they saw Jeff Hardy climbing up a 15-foot ladder, only to get pushed down and over the ropes, I think their opinions might change. Seeing Spike Dudley being thrown through a table may also change their opinion. Now I know that these wrestlers are able to shift their weight to reduce pain. But all the bumps they take are still going to hurt.
On another note, these are a few of my ideas to improve WWE:
* They should sign more women wrestlers. I get very tired of seeing Dawn Marie vs. Torrie Wilson every week.
* Vince McMahon sometimes is a total idiot. He had the fate of WCW and ECW in his hands, and he just crumpled it up like a piece of paper and threw it in a trash bin. An extra show a week for the ECW and WCW superstars would have brought more cash into the company. I loved WCW and ECW. Seeing Jeff Jarrett hitting some guy over the head with a guitar every week was entertaining.
* The Undertaker's gimmick of riding to the ring on a motorcycle is a dumb idea. I say that they should bring back his gimmick he had when made his debut
* Right now "Raw" competes with "Monday Night Football" for five months of the year. "Raw" should be moved to Tuesdays, and "Smackdown" should be moved to Saturdays. Maybe that would boost the TV ratings.
