Tangent System's partnership with Datamark offers customers remote data-entry option

In a move to increase service to users of its DocuTran(R) family of software, Tangent Systems, Inc. announced an agreement with Datamark, Inc. of El Paso, TX, to provide customers an add-on software module designed to seamlessly handle the transfer of images and transaction information between a customer site and Datamark-a leading provider of data entry and document scanning services.

With this module, called DocuTran Remote Key, Tangent Systems customers can automatically transmit either complete or partial check images, address changes and scan line data to Datamark's El Paso, TX and Juarez, Mexico-based remote remittance processing centers.

Once entered, the data is returned to the DocuTran Remote Key manager and automatically merged back into the traditional DocuTran workflow where it is subjected to the same validation as data that was keyed locally.

Datamark, with twin processing facilities, weekly handles millions of documents, such as airbills, medical claim forms, credit card receipts, fulfillments and surveys. Utilizing high-tech equipment and sophisticated software, Datamark provides DocuTran Remote Key users with quality service and quick turnarounds at affordable prices.

Companies located in areas where the employee pool may be limited, where seasonal peaks are common or where cost of labor adversely affects the bottom line are prime candidates for the DocuTran/Datamark remote keying solution.

The DocuTran II Remote Key software module is available with the latest version of DocuTran software and can be installed at any time. As a result of the uniquely flexible architecture of the DocuTran software, the Remote Key capabilities can be easily added to existing applications by merely making a few minor configuration and workflow changes. By utilizing a standardized base package, Tangent Systems guarantees that each customer receives a well designed and robust solution that installs quickly and can be upgraded.

Datamark, Inc., in El Paso, TX, and Cuidad Juarez, Mexico, performs high quality, high volume data entry and document scanning services for U.S. and internationally located companies. Presently, Datamark employs over 1,500 people performing high-speed scanning, recognition and data-entry applications including remittance processing, freight bills, medical claim forms, credit card applications, return card notices, warranty cards and surveys.
