摘要:The aim of this paper is to show how Hans Jonas' responsibility principle, rethought in an ontological and ethical dimension, faces the theses of transhumanism in relation to human enhancement. Although Hans Jonas thought that rationality represented the last degree of development of freedom in a phenomenological approach to life, with the emergence of transhumanism (s) and the idea that we can enhance human beings using technoscientific procedures, we maintain that authenticity Humanity finds its greatest expression in the concept of responsibility. That is, since transhumanism, with its most utopian adherents, presupposes the emergence of a new age of the human species, we need a new ethical principle capable of curbing the new technological powers of humanity in order to ensure the existence and integrity of life. in a genuine and authentic way.
