摘要：The aim of the European Landscape Convention is to support protection and management of the landscape and its arrangement, and to organize European co-operation in this field. The Convention represents a new instrument appointed exclusively for protection and management of the landscape and its arrangement in all European countries. Member States of the European Council which have signed it enter into an agreement to harmonize its fulfilment with their own conceptions. At present the Convention has been signed by 28 Member States, and it was ratified by 11 out of them. The first part of the contribution gives basic information about the procedure of Convention ratification in the Czech Republic. The second part contains the evaluation of the preparatory stage of the Slovak Republic to join the convention and it presents a short analysis of relevant legal rules and conceptional materials. The third part of this contribution is devoted to the assessment of legislative implications of introduction of the European Landscape Convention in the Czech Republic.
