摘要:The essay focuses on the intermingling of pacifism, anti-nuclearism and political environmentalism and the interconnection between foreign and domestic policy. In particular it offers a nuanced understanding of the role played by the antinuclear movement in inducing Reagan to change his negotiating strategy on nuclear weapons reductions. Besides the article introduces a research agenda for a project that looks at the history of Greenpeace investigating it as a significant political and social phenomenon that produced a truly global conversation on environmental issues.
