其他摘要：Austria’s accession to the European Union (EU) by 1 January 2015 and the membership have caused certain frictions. The real or alleged problems relate to the issue of sovereignty, foreign policy, Austria’s neutrality, the compatibility with the Austrian State Treaty of 1955, the participation in sanctions and operations of the EU, the relations to South-Tyrol, the burdens of transit, the question of nuclear energy and the access of foreign EU-citizens to universities. However, the system of the EU has proven sufficiently flexible to overcome these problems, even in the interest of Austria.
