The main focus is made on the Festival of Classical and Chamber Music in Greene County, New York, that has been held on the initiative of composer Ihor Sonevytskyi since 1983 till the present time. This festival is aimed at the promotion of contemporary Ukrainian musical art. The purpose of this research is to comprehend the semiosphere of the national cultural space in Hunter, the USA. The author applied historical, axiological, cultural and informationalsemiotic approaches and corresponding methods that determine the methodology of the research. Thus, the historical-chronological method was applied to analyze the activities of the Ukrainian Cultural Center in Hunter for a long time (more than 40 years); the axiological method was applied to determine the value of the achievements of Ukrainian artists; cultural methods facilitated multidimensional presentation of the contribution of cultural figures into the world and Ukrainian treasuries; informational-semiotic method helps to understand the semiosphere of the space in Hunter as a world of signs by means of which human society preserves and accumulates social and cultural information that people create by symbols. The scientific novelty of the research is the introduction to the scientific circulation of systematic information and archival materials about the activities of the Ukrainian Cultural Center in Hunter, as well as the conduction of Festival of Classical and Chamber Music by initiative of composer Ihor Sonevytskyi in Greene County (New York).
