摘要：The paper explores the opportunities and the role that demography can take in the research of poverty,by discussing theoretical and and empitical evidence of the relations between poverty and demographic processes.It points to the development and the complexity of the concept of poverty,as well as to the multiplication of research topics and indicators.It also discusses to what extent demographic factors are taken into account in measuring poverty,and whether or not their importance was changing.
其他摘要：У раду се покушава сагледати кроз теоријске и емпиријске евиденције релација сиромаштва и демографских процеса,какве су могућности и улога демографије у истраживању сиромаштва.Указује са на развој и сложеност појма сиромаштво,као и умножавање истраживачких концепата и индикатора.Такође се разматра колико су демографски фактори присутни у мерењу сиромаштва и да ли се њихов значај мењао.
