摘要:Loaning policy of Kingdom of Yugoslavia was criticized by many politi cal and economical actors, mostly from the region which was previously within the Austria-Hungary. In their view, Serbian parts of the state were prioritized in the loaning policy, which was symbolizing the unjust treatment of different regi ons by Yugoslav governments. Major stockholders of the National Bank came from Serbia, as Croatians possessed around 5% of the capital of the bank prior to its nationalization. However, Croatian investors were engaged in other ventures, and the economy of this part of the country remained independent from the cen tral bank. Therefore, the number of applications from this part of the country was smaller. In the course of the great economic crisis, National bank bailed out a number of banks from Zagreb, Ljubljana and Sarajevo, whereas Belgrade banks collapsed. Nationalization of the central bank led to the predominance of Croa tian political and economical factor.
