摘要：The purpose of the article is to study the evolution of genres of on-screen works, to identify the internal and external links between them, to analyze and determine the reasons that caused the emergence of new television forms, the diffusion and hybridization of traditional genres, and the formation of new types and formats of television broadcasting. The research methodology consisted in the application of the analytical, historical, and comparative methods, which provided for the analysis of modern television, where in the process of evolution of television genres, types and formats of telecasting the firm tendency towards integrated selection of telecasts, differentiation and hybridization of new genres is observed. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the research into diffusion, hybridization of genres of television works in the process of their evolution, identifying the external and internal links between them and determining the reasons for the emergence of new genres.Conclusions. It can be concluded that in the process of evolution of genres of on-screen works new hybrid genre forms appear, which alter the content of telecasts. The system of genres is starting to evolve: new genres are appearing, the old ones are disappearing, and there is evident interpenetration, fusion of genres. Socio-economic and political changes influenced the diffusions in the whole genre system. Nowadays this process is taking place due to the fusion or substitution of some genres with others and the emergence of new genre forms.
