标题：THE INFLUENCE OF WEIGHTS IN THE TOPSIS METHOD ON THE LENGTH OF ROUTE TRAVELLED BY THE PICKER WITH RELATION TO THE ORDER SIZE

摘要：Goal – the analysis of applied system of weights in the TOPSIS during selection of locations on route length during order-picking with respect to the order size. Research methodology – When a company utilises the shared storage,selection of location from which the product will be picked is one of the crucial problems in the process of order picking. Foreach product,the location can be selected on the basis of one or more features. The articlepresents three features,for which on the basis of the TOPSIS method,a synthetic measure was constructed. Seven combinations of weights were applied. After selection of locations,on the basis of the s-shape heuristic the picker’s route was designated. The analysis was performed for three sizes of the single order: 10,20 and 30 different products. 20 orders for 10 and 20 different products and 15 orders for 30 different products were analysed. Differences between the obtained results were analysed by means of the one-way ANOVA. Score – For orders with 10 and 20 different products there were significant differences in mean route lengths,while for orders with 30 different products,these differences were not statistically significant. In the analysed example,the decision maker should assign big weight to the criterion that prefers locations,close to which the other ordered products are located. Originality /value – application of the multiple-criteria decision-making techniques in selection of locations during the order-picking and using them for the real data in a company that deals with distribution of tools and workwear.
