标题：Upaya Mereduksi Jumlah Kecelakaan Lalu Lintas Melalui Penggunaan Sistem Informasi Geografis

摘要：This activity was motivated by the high number of traffic accidents inPurbalingga Regency. Based on data from Porles Purbalingga mentionedthat traffic accidents during the last four years period of 2010-2013occurred as many as 1374 accidents with the highest number of eventsoccurring in 2012 as many as 513 cases (37.34%), followed by 2013 asmany as 467 cases. The purpose of this activity is to reduce the numberof traffic accidents by making a map of traffic accident-prone locationsusing a web-based Geographic Information System (GIS). The methodused is practice, demonstration and outreach. The initial stage of thiscommunity service activity starts with making a map of accident-proneareas using Web-based GIS. In making the basic map, the basic calculationused is the calculation of Accident Equivalent Numbers (AEK), namelythe death toll is worth 10, the injured victim is worth 5, the light injuredvictim is worth 1, and for the value 1 for property damaged only. Thenext activity was to demonstrate and socialize the results of the mappingin the form of web-based GIS to the participants, namely the police in theunit then. The final result of this activity is a web-based GIS to presentinformation on the location of black spot areas so that the police can useit to provide early warning of accidents to the public.
