摘要:If the Columbia River Treaty (CRT) dictates how wateris stored and moved through the Columbia River System,then the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) is the entity saying when and where that water goes.Previous installments of this series have focused onsome of the major users of the Columbia River System,from transportation and navigation to irrigation and power generation, and how the CRT has shaped and impactedthose industries. But it’s the Corps that is tasked with theday-to-day handling of a system that encompasses 258,000square miles across seven states and two countries.
