摘要:It’s a new year for the Washington Association of WheatGrowers (WAWG). Our fiscal year began July 1, so we haverecently completed our review of the last year and budgetedfor this year. Do you ever wonder how WAWG pays forall of the activities you read about in Wheat Life? The shortanswer is that it is paid for with your help! Our biggestsources of income are member dues, Wheat Life advertisingand the funds we receive from the Washington GrainCommission, which come from grower assessments. We do our best to use thisincome efficiently and effectively to give you, the growers, a high return on yourinvestment. We put the money to use as we lobby and educate policymakers inOlympia and Washington, D.C. Sometimes we do this on our own, and sometimeswith the help of the National Association of Wheat Growers (NAWG). We also useour resources to provide educational programs for our growers through AMMOand Wheat College. Educating consumers at events like Ag Expo and farm fairs isanother way we put your money to work. We have a small but mighty staff, andthey work tirelessly to ensure we are getting the most from every dollar spent.
