摘要：Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) is a system that is used to improve and maintain the productionand quality of processes, machines, and all other resources. TPM is the major activity of a Quality ManagementSystem. In this paper, we will review the different methods and techniques used previously by different authors tostudy the effectiveness of TPM implementation in Indian industries. Many types of research are performed tounderstand the need of TPM implementation in Indian industries. However, most of the researches focused only on thebarriers and successful factors of TPM implementation. This study will analyze the important factors which are themajor reasons to cause issues related to TPM implementation. This review will also discuss the concept of TPM. Anoverview of TPM, its elements, benefits, and principles will also be discussed in this paper. Several roles of TPMparadigms will be studied and defined that helps in achieving manufacturing excellence in the industries. After studyingthe brief concept of TPM, we will highlight the need for effective TPM implementation in Indian industries.
