摘要：RESUMO: Uma breve história da hermenêutica, desde sua origem na modernidade (e sua apropriação dos clássicos) até o final do século XX, em suas contribuições para delimitação epistemológica da historiografia como uma ciência. Estudando especialmente a ideia de “interpretação” e alguns conceitos e argumentos fundamentais para tal em Droysen, Dilthey, Gadamer e Ricoeur. PALAVRAS-CHAVE: hermenêutica, historiografia, epistemologia, Droysen, Dilthey, Gadamer, Ricoeur, tradição, interpretação. ABSTRACT: A brief history of hermeneutics, from its origin in modern times (and its appropriation of the classics) to the end of the twentieth century, in their contributions to the epistemological delimitation of historiography as a science. Especially studying the idea of “interpreting” and some fundamental concepts and arguments for such in Droysen, Dilthey, Gadamer and Ricoeur.
