摘要:A new kind of wireless multi-hop networkarchitecture called Wireless Mesh Network (WMN) hasrecently attracted much attention. WMNs have recentlygained a lot of popularity due to their rapid deployment,instant communication capabilities and support for manytypes of application. For these applications, networkcongestion and interference is the main reasons for lowerthroughput and longer delay. Most of the present routingprotocols for WMN’s are not designed to adapt congestion,interference and optimal link quality. In this paper, wepropose congestion and interference aware multipath routingprotocol called EAOMDV-iLB for multiradio multipleinterface wireless mesh networks (WMN). The protocolcalculates multiple paths using proposed airtime congestionand interference aware (ACIA) metric and performs loadbalancing by computing queue utilization of multipleinterfaces of a node in terms of reduced interflow and intraflowinterference. Moreover, the effective load balancingtechnique maintains data transmission on optimal path bydiverting traffic all the way through congested area. Thesimulation results using ns2 reveal that our proposed loadbalancing scheme performs better than AOMDV in terms ofthroughput, end-to end delay with high traffic density
