摘要:This work presents an integration method for using Landsat/TM imagery andmaps as information to characterize areas which are susceptible to erosion inhydrographic basin in the state of Sao Paulo (Brazil). Information describingthe physical environment (slope, length, soil erodibility and rainfallerosivity) were integrated into a Geographic Information System (GIS). TheNatural Erosion Potencial (NEP) was obtained. The USLE C factor was obtainedfrom land use maps derived from the interpretation of~enhanced TM Landsat 5Imagery. Those data were integrated to the Natural Erosion Potencial with theGIS in' order to provide an estimate and the spatial distribution of areaswith erosion risk.
