摘要：Archaeological testing at site 41HY261 was conducted from March 26-31, 1997, by the Center for Archaeological Research (CAR) of The University of Texas at San Antonio, for the city of San Marcos Parks and Recreation Department. Testing demonstrates that 41HY261 contains deep, intact, stratified subsurface cultural deposits. Collectively, the artifacts recovered to date represent ca. 5,000 years of hunter-and-gatherer activity. Site 41HY261 has the potential to contribute significantly to the prehistory of the region, and is therefore recommended as eligible for nomination to the National Register of Historic Places.
