  • 其他摘要:The study was aimed to investigate the effects of a. brassinosteroid compound (BR) on coniferous planting stock. The solution of 2α,3α,17β- trihydroxy-5α-androstan-6-one was applied onto 2-year-old seedlings of Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) and Norway spruce (Picea abies (L.) Karst.) in three doses: low (N) (0.4 mg.ha –1 ), medium (S) (4 mg.ha –1 ) and high (V) (40 mg.ha –1 ). The control (K) was without any application of BR. One growth season after application, we assessed mortality rate, height increment, and for spruce also chlorophyll fluorescence. For Scots pine, there was a.trend of decreasing mortality rate with increasing concentration of BR (significant differences). For Norway spruce, however, the effects of BR application on mortality rate were rather inconsistent. In case of Scots pine, the control treatment showed the best performance in terms of height increment, which was significantly higher in comparison with low and medium BR concentrations. As for Norway spruce, there were no convincing results indicating positive effect of BR on height growth, however, there was a. pattern of S. treatment performing best, and N treatment performing the least. Similarly in the analysis of chlorophyll a. fluorescence in spruce foliage, there was no significance. Parameter S m /t Fmax was lowest in control treatment. In general, some significant differences in growth and mortality rate of Norway spruce and Scots pine seedlings after the BR application were indicated in this study. Our results, however, cannot verify a.real profit of the tested BR application for commercial production of planting stock of Norway spruce and Scots pine in forest nurseries.
