摘要：Water pollution, typically as a consequence of human activities, is the contamination of water bodies. Lakes, rivers, oceans, and groundwater, for instance, are water bodies. When pollutants are introduced into the natural world, water contamination occurs. For example, the release into natural water bodies of inadequately treated waste water can lead to the destruction of aquatic habitats.
