摘要:As I set out to write about my research process with forensicanthropologists in a country with a long-lasting armed conflict, Iwas unable to ignore the imminent role that affect and emotionsplay in my practice and in my relationship with this topic. I foughtthe urge to disregard the struggle implied in writing about myown practice. Thus, I reflect on the effects and affects that thisfieldwork and its related methods have on my approach to thistopic, to the people I work and share with, and to myself. Myargument is twofold. First, if one is to acknowledge that affect andemotions produce knowledge and that knowledge productionshave world-making effects, as researchers we need to attend tothe worlds we enact through our own research and knowledgeproduction practices. Second, writing and registration practicesconstitute modes of research that, in themselves, produceknowledge. I develop my argument in three steps. I reflect on thedifficulties of writing this particular text; I address my ownknowledge productions – that include my own registrationpractices, and I attend to the worlds that I help to enact. I alsopay attention to others’ registration practices.
