摘要：This a theoretical essay discussing the object of work of Nursing as it faces the emergence of a new paradigm.We make some considerations about the role of the family as the health care unity of its members and object of care from the nursing professionals. This paper puts in context and instigates the professionals to think about the adequacy and necessity to make the family as the object of assistance of nursing.
